The beach here is just something else
Icmeler beach is gorgeous - clear water, well-kept, and not too crowded if you go early. The sea is warm and the whole coastline is really pretty. Great spot for a proper summer break.
Loved every bit of the old bazaar
The Grand Bazaar area is a must if you enjoy browsing local stalls and picking up souvenirs. Loads of leather goods, spices, and jewelry at decent prices. Sellers are chatty but not pushy. Really enjoyed just walking through it.
Perfect place to unwind on a boat trip
Took a day boat tour out of the marina and it was honestly one of the best things I did all holiday. Crystal-clear bays, multiple stops for swimming, and the food on board was decent too. The harbour itself is lovely to walk along in the evenings. Loved it.
Great place for a summer holiday
The seafront promenade is really well set up with restaurants and bars right along the water. Gözleme from the street stalls near the bazaar is absolutely delicious and very cheap. Warm sea, good food, friendly locals - what more do you need.
Solid choice for a family beach holiday
Kids loved the calm shallow water at Marmaris beach and there's plenty to keep everyone busy. Pedalo hire, water sports, good ice cream spots nearby. The town is easy to get around and most people speak enough English to help you out.
Great value and really good food
Ate at a little meyhane near the castle and the meze spread was incredible - stuffed vine leaves, grilled octopus, fresh bread. Good portions and very reasonable prices. The old castle area is worth exploring too, nice views over the bay from up there.
